The public dictionary and Library

Anyone may read the public pages without an account. Much of the dictionary is adapted from Wiktionary and is shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license; the attribution page lists sources and licenses. You may reuse that material under its license terms. Other Library material is © Celetris LLC unless a page says otherwise.

The content is provided for learning, as is. It may contain mistakes; please tell us when you find one.

Accounts and the alpha

• The notebook is an invite-only alpha for adults 18 and older.
• Give accurate account details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• It is pre-release software: features may change or stop, and data may be reset or migrated. Keep your own copy of anything important (the app can export your notebook).

Your content

You own what you put in your notebook. You give us permission to store, process and display it to you (and to anyone you choose to share it with) so we can run the service. Notebooks are private by default.

Only add material you have the right to use. When you share content that includes material derived from the CC BY-SA dictionary data, that material stays under CC BY-SA, and the attribution travels with it.

AI features

Some notebook features use AI providers. AI output can be wrong; check it before relying on it. AI features are limited by monthly spending caps and may be unavailable when a cap is reached.

Acceptable use

Don't:

• break the law, or infringe anyone's copyright or other rights;
• attack, overload or probe Memmerse, or get around its rate limits or access controls;
• create accounts or invite requests automatically, or for other people without their consent;
• use Memmerse to harass anyone or to distribute malware or spam.

Reusing CC BY-SA content under its license is fine; please do it at a pace that respects the rate limits.

Copyright and content concerns

If you believe something on the public site infringes your rights, is unlawful, or is incorrect about you, email legal@memmerse.com with the page address, what the problem is, and how to reach you. We review every report and remove or correct content promptly where warranted. [Owner/counsel: confirm the DMCA designated-agent registration and process.]

Ending your use

You can stop using Memmerse and ask us to delete your account at any time (privacy@memmerse.com). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk.

Disclaimers and liability

Memmerse is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Celetris LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data. [Owner/counsel: final warranty and liability language, including any cap.]

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users. These terms are governed by the laws of [State], United States. [Owner/counsel: confirm.]
